Pastel Biennial 2008 gathered at the stage of the competition 533 works 194 artists from 24 countries. The jury, composed of artistic personalities, among others from Ukraine, the Netherlands and Slovakia, chose the best works. The Jerzy Madejski's Award was granted to Ryszard Miłek for the "Minneapolis Bridge II" painting.
Exhibition was shown in various Polish cities, including in Czestochowa, where Municipal Art Gallery prepared guest exhibition of the Biennial Pastel 2008 from February 6 to March 8, 2009.
The 4th International Biennial Pastel Exhibition in Nowy Sącz, Poland was the 4th edition of the International Pastel Biennial hosted in Nowy Sącz from October 24 (opening day) till December 31.
